New Bangles - Coming Soon!

Oh Monday, how I loathe you so.  This weekend went by SO quickly.  Which is odd, because I spent it by myself the ENTIRE time.  I did some shopping, cooked a ton, did some satisfactory DIY and created some new bangles for the Rasbarri collection.  I'd call it somewhat productive.  Minus all that television I watched along the way.  (Hello Academy, how could you not give Silver Lining Playbook best picture?)

I introduce to you, a few new and very delicate Rasbarri bangles. The manual labor of creating jewelry can become daunting at times.  Filling orders between quantities of 10-15 is time consuming...and sometimes I have to admit- takes the fun out of why I started Rasbarri in the first place.  I find it important to make time to create and feel inspired.  I find that if I don't take the time to have fun with this "hobby-turned small venture" of mine, I fall out of love.  And who wants to fall out of love, anyway?

I'll be uploading these bad boys to my shop early this week.  I'm also adding a "SHOP" section my website - to make it much easier to navigate to my Zaarly store.

Happy Monday!

Friday Fun

Happy Friday everyone!  I'm currently in North Lake Tahoe taking care of my pup, Maxwell.  I'm working remotely and drinking a up of Joe this beautiful Friday morning.  Who else is excited for the weekend?!  I'll be working hard to fill Rasbarri orders - and catching up on some fun business accounting.  (woo!...)  I'm also slightly obsessing over a DIY project I hope to accomplish this weekend.  I'll be sharing, soon ;)  AND, for those of you who don't follow my Instagram, I'm sharing a few pics of my life, lately. Have a great weekend!

Burst of HAPPY.

Do you ever get an injection of unsolicited happiness when you were least expecting it?  I was slumped over at my desk yesterday, working from home and feeling something short of complacent.  I came across the blog,  Pink Pistachio.  I watched a few of Missy's tutorials and I couldn't stop thinking about one of my close, childhood friends, Allison - they're both bubbly, full of positivity...and just plain happy people - beautiful on the inside and out.  So many admirable qualities I strive to encompass.  I am/was totally inspired by her positivity that I can't help but walk with a pep in my step this week.

I decided to throw on iTunes and play my all-time happy song, "Forever my Friend" by Ray LaMontagne.  I had it on repeat while I sang and prepped for dinner - I made this Vietnamese vegan dinner.

Enjoy my most favorite tune and have a wonderful, happy day!

Rasbarri feature on SayHelloMax.com

My dear friends, Elsa and Tienlyn are the co-founders behind the breath-taking fashion blog, Say Hello Max.  I've been meaning to post this photograph (and it's a little late!) from a recent Rasbarri feature they made of my Tiny V and Bar layer necklaces.  I am completely and utterly honored.

I'm constantly inspired/ in awe of their seamless collaboration, talent and of course...downright beauty.  Right now, I'm living vicariously through their Instagram as they enjoy an amazing experience in the big apple at NYFW.  Tienlyn was photographed by Bill Cunningham this morning - it doesn't get much better than that!  I hope you enjoy their beautiful blog as much as I do!  Check out the feature here: http://www.sayhellomax.com/2012/12/style-swap-california-christmas.html

A few of my favorite things...

Are there certain products or pieces in your wardrobe that you feel, define your style?  I'm currently loving my Benefit "Simply Dandy" lip and cheek kit, my trusty J Brand Skinnies in Nirvana Blue, my new Isabella Fiore Bella tote...and these sweet and simple Gorjana earrings.

I struggled for a long time with the notion of "personal style" and in the past, have felt a bit lost.  I would struggle over purchases that were overly trendy or didn't fit me the way it looked on the beautiful model.  My girlfriends would tell me to dress outside my "comfort zone" to find what I was looking for. Two words. No bueno.

I realized that personal style works for some people and it looks natural and effortless for a reason.  It's because they're wearing what they like, what fits their body type...and pieces they're genuinely drawn to.  You've got to dress with what YOU know looks good on you (styles, cuts, colors), not what is currently trending or what everyone else is wearing. Snoozular.

These days, I only shop for pieces I truly can't live without - bags, products and styles I've learned over time, that suit me.

...On the record; you'll never catch me wearing metallic anything, overly processed blonde locks, over-the-knee stiletto boots and god knows what shade of bronzer I use to dabble in - because well, they just ain't my style.
