Rasbarri...where do I begin?
I started Rasbarri back in the summer of 2008 (stop laughing, I know I'm making it sound like I embarked on this journey in the 1800's) I remember shopping around for a delicate, every-day staple to wear around my neck. Everything I came across was incredibly overpriced - it had completely turned me off.
I was interested in making something my own, how hard could it really be? I ended up watching youtube videos, learning how to wire wrap and spending hours in bead shops and perusing gem expos. Pretty soon I had an Etsy shop and business was bustling. I was designing, creating, photographing, editing...and marketing. Solid, hard work! I stayed true to creating pieces that only I would wear, or like. My line was picked up in a few retail locations and I couldn't be more excited!
In the past year, I've put Rasbarri on hold for another job and other personal reasons - I took my Etsy store down and focused on my new job and life. Buuuuut, I really missed Rasbarri. I missed the creativity, the time I was spending on it..and the fun I had building my own business.
The most rewarding moments were seeing my friends wear Rasbarri. A lot of my friends and even friends of friends were getting married...and I was asked to design pieces for their special day. I even loved hearing, "these pieces are very Vanessa" It's a great feeling.
I've spent time in the past few months creating some new pieces for the line: Longer necklaces with different lines, less shimmer and more chic.
Thank you to all of my friends who have continuously supported me! You've helped me build something that makes my heart beat.
The new Rasbarri store is up and running! I am adding new pieces every week. Of course, as always - if there is something you have in mind, send me a message and we'll make it happen.
Love,
Vanessa
